Job Description
Applicants must possess a master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Counseling or Psychology. Therapists are required to abide by the organization’s standards of living. Candidates must be in good-to-moderate physical condition, as 1-2 miles of hiking weekly is required. Therapists must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and drug test and provide documentation of a negative TB test, a Tetanus shot within last five years, a sports physical done within the last year, and CPR/First Aid training.
Desired Qualifications
Clinical skills, as evident by concise and timely documentation, as well as strong interpersonal and therapeutic skills in working with adolescents, young adults, and families.
Therapy
- Intake assessment and consultation with families on admission to the program
- Weekly individual therapy conducted in the field with program participants
- Weekly parent sessions (either in person or via phone)
- Consultation with referring professionals, third-party payers, and other treatment professionals as needed
Documentation
- Initial psychosocial assessment report
- Treatment plan
- Individual, family and consultation session notes
- Discharge summary
Supervision
- Participate in weekly individual supervision for clinical cases, as needed
- Participate in weekly clinical staffing
Selected candidate must participate in new-hire training at the onset of employment (5 days in the office, 4 days minimum in the wilderness setting with clients) and dedicate one full day to attend Anasazi’s parent seminar.
Compensation for the family therapist’s services is based on his/her level of licensure and past clinical experience.
