“The coal you blew into flame is a metaphor of the spark that is dormant within your soul. Good choices are like your breath that gave life to the glowing coal.” —Trailwalker Guide
At Anasazi Foundation, we create fire by using a bow drill. We teach this method to each Youngwalker within the first few days of their walking. In order for them to advance—and step into the new band—they must first learn how to create fire.
Watch the video of this Trailwalker using the bow drill technique and consider how it might feel to build primitive fire. What an accomplishment!
How can the method of creating fire compare to your own life? Does the spark within you feel dormant? If so, what can you do to breathe new life into your walking?
